Assistant Underwriter

Our client is an international and renowned insurance company, which develops and manages mainly insurance for companies.

They are looking for a person to temporarily assist their underwriting team when needed and to catch up with the backlog in their department. Are you interested in temporary team support? Then apply today!


  • Assist and support the Underwriting department in processing new business, renewals and endorsements;
  • Liaise with brokers/clients to gather information necessary to prepare quotes (either for new business or renewals) and update pricing when necessary;
  • Prepare reference documentation;
  • Issue proposals, quotes after receiving instructions from the Underwriting Department;
  • Enter information/documents for transaction files;
  • Support the preparation of contract amendments;
  • In partnership with the Collections Department, handle financial issues and support their efforts to collect outstanding premiums.

Your profile

  • You have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Insurance/Economics/Finance or in another field and you are interested in working in the insurance industry;
  • First experience in Non-Life P&C insurance, in administrative management, production or assistance;
  • You have excellent written and verbal skills in French and Dutch. A good knowledge of English is preferable;
  • You are able to prioritize and manage your time well in order to organize your daily work;
  • You are detail-oriented and can ensure optimal follow-up for the departments to which you provide support;
  • You have very good administrative and communication skills.


Our client offers you a temporary contract of several months.
