Head of Property Underwriting

Description

• You will manage a team of about 3 junior underwriters in the heart of Brussels. With your expertise, you will allow your colleagues to grow in their capabilities and you will also actively underwrite the larger accounts yourself.
• Besides day-to-day pricing & underwriting, you will also work closely with the London branch to analyse & grow the current - Property portfolio. For this, you will travel to London a few times a month.
• You also closely monitor contract renewals & closely follow up with your external partners to secure growth.

Your profile

• You have at least 10 years' experience as an underwriter within property insurance & make new contacts like no other.
• Positioning yourself as a mentor to other colleagues also comes naturally to you.
• Furthermore, you are fluent in Dutch, have an excellent knowledge of English and a good knowledge of French. Italian is a plus.
• You are someone who rolls up your sleeves & does not just sit around: you have a hands-on & solution-oriented approach

Offer

Our client offers you a permanent contract & a complete salary package: A competitive gross monthly salary under joint committee 307, supplemented by meal vouchers of 8 euro/day, eco vouchers, insurances (hospitalisation & group), a company car with fuel card, flexible working hours and, in addition to 20 days' leave, 15 days' recuperation days.
