Description

Underwriting, trading, servicing.
  • Reviewing assigned files and making underwriting decisions within agreed timeframes to secure targeted business within the level of authority and risk appetite
  • Access and apply all appropriate sources of information and insight to best meet broker and client needs
  • Clearly and positively articulating the value proposition and risk appetite
  • Drive trading activity to cultivate existing business relationships and ensure a regular flow of new business
  • Managing and collaborating with others to take responsibility for effectively and promptly resolving broker and/or client issues
  • Following up on timely policy issuance by liaising with relevant internal departments
Team management (team of 1)
  • Coordinating the responsibilities of the team
  • Providing guidance and coaching to less qualified/experienced colleagues as needed
  • Establishing effective relationships with stakeholders, and accessing support as needed
Managing portfolio performance
  • Contributing to the creation of segment and local business development plans
  • Optimizing portfolio performance through data & analytics, working closely with the pan-European Head of Liability Product Lines
Governance, grip & control
  • Be aware of and adhere to the regulatory framework at all times
  • Timely and accurate capture and recording of data

Your profile

  • You have strong underwriting experience in general liability. Experience in professional liability and financial insurance is considered an added plus
  • You have a network of relevant contacts in the co-insurance marketplace
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Fluent knowledge of Dutch and English and, if possible, French
