Communication Officer

As part of the communication engine you are in daily contact with colleagues from different departments and you quickly build a broad network. You are responsible for implementing the communication plan and specific communication projects that focus on different target groups of our client. You will help ensure that everyone is kept informed of the ins and outs of the company.

Description

  • You closely follow the developments in the media and communication landscape and develop new initiatives in the field of communication so that Baloise Insurance reaches its target groups optimally. In this context, the team works regularly with external suppliers and partners (PR firms, video production house, etc.)
  • You are an editor of texts for various communication media. This can be online but also an article or quote in a newspaper or on our intranet. You monitor the content, the application of the graphic and linguistic house style and the use of the right channels.
  • You advise and support the various internal departments so that they can also roll out their communication plans optimally.
  • You participate in company-wide projects as the contact person for our department. In other cases you will be responsible for the entire communication project (planning, coordination, implementation).
  • You have contact with the press and are responsible for the collaboration with the PR agency. You actively provide opportunities for the press and help identify press-sensitive dossiers.
  • You contribute to the development of content for our social media channels and work together with colleagues from the Marketing Department.

Your profile

  • You have a fluent pen and manage to describe complex subjects in a simple way, adapted to the different channels and target groups. A basic knowledge of SEO is a nice bonus.
  • You have experience with online media (social media, e-mail marketing, videos, website, ...) and the use of associated tools (mail platforms, content management systems, social publishing tools, ...).
  • You have a Master's degree with a focus on communication, marketing or linguistics.
  • A first work experience within a communication department is definitely a plus.
You are the first point of contact for French-speaking employees and therefore have a very good knowledge of French, but also of Dutch and English.
  • You have good knowledge of MS Office.
