HR & Payroll Officer

Our client is the leader in the paid passenger transport sector in Belgium. The group develops its activities from forty or so branches throughout the country. For the Edegem branch we are looking for an experienced and motivated HR and payroll employee, who will be responsible for the meticulous follow-up of the personnel files and the correct processing of the payroll (170 employees).

Description

1. Payroll-related activities
  • Preparation of wages in close cooperation with planning
  • Input of absence data in planning tool
  • Management and control of digital tachograph cards
  • Full payroll processing and input of wages
  • Checking the processing carried out by the social secretariat, and adjusting where necessary
  • Printing and distribution of payslips and performance sheets
  • Completion and processing of social documents (mutual insurance, economic unemployment, wage attachment, etc.)
  • Social risk declaration (progressive employees)
  • Organising the monthly sitting day
2. Personnel file management
  • Recruiting and selecting new employees
  • Welcoming new employees and registering their details in the payroll software
  • Drawing up employment contracts and addenda
  • Administrative follow-up of files
  • Point of contact for employees regarding personnel administration, social legislation, etc.
  • Follow up and control of employment measures
  • Follow up the legal obligations and the social legislation
  • Management of temporary workers and contact with the temping agencies
  • Planning medical checks in collaboration with external prevention service
  • Delivering reports and data to other departments of the organization

Your profile

  • You have a bachelor degree (human resources, social advisor, ...) or equivalent through relevant experience.
  • You have a good knowledge of social legislation and payroll administration (knowledge of Easypay is an added value)
  • You have a good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, ...)
  • You have a few years experience in payroll administration, preferably in a social secretariat or in a personnel department
  • You can work correctly and accurately and you like working with figures
  • You have a customer-oriented and flexible attitude
  • You handle confidential information with discretion
  • You like to work in a team, but you can also work independently and you like to take initiative
