Trade Support Analyst

Global Operations Services (GOS) is responsible for handling and monitoring all services, in order that the Portfolio Managers are able to manage daily their portfolios.

The Trade Support team is part of the Investment Support team which has responsibility for providing excellence in support to Investments teams in addition to a range of support and oversight services.

The Trade Support function specifically provides support and expertise for the outsourced trade support process, ensuring accurate position keeping, coordinating internally with various stakeholders, investigating discrepancies and overall oversight of the outsourced activities.

Trade support activities in the scope of this team include:
  • OTC Trade Support;
  • Listed Trade Support;
  • UCITS Trade support;
  • Private Debt and Real Assets Trade support;
  • Dealing Services activities
  • Middle Office Services , Derivatives Clearring and Custodians oversight
Internal and external relationships:
  • Internal: all ITO teams involved in transactional chain, project teams, Portfolio managers
  • External: Custodians, external service providers, clearers, other entities

Description

The Listed and UCITS Trade Support activity is responsible for the following tasks:
  • Ensure all Listed and UCITS (Undertakings for the Collective Investment in Transferable Securities) trades are accurately captured, booked and transmitted to the outsourced service providers
  • Oversight of electronic confirmations
  • Amend and book corrections trades, Follow up and payment for CFDs (Contract For Differences) ,Follow up and process NDFs (Non-Deliverable Forwards) fixing
  • Investigate and resolve breaks related to Listed and Ucits scope
  • Providing specialist support to portfolio managers, i.e. pre & post trade support (trade settlements)
  • Monitoring and oversight of the Fund of Fund (UCITs) trading process
  • Working closely with others departments/Clearers and relationship managers for trade support services, ensuring the service received meets the required standards
  • Work with Dealing Services and Investments to ensure high quality service and to reduce risk and improve the quality of trade data received
  • Monitor and report on the quality of service received from service providers via preparation and analysis of KPIs
  • Act as point of escalation for portfolio managers for trade support related topics
  • Timely escalation of trade support related issues to all relevant parties (front office, legal, risk, BP2S etc) ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
  • Assistance in trade support related projects, exception management and ad hoc tasks
  • Manage the claims received from counterparties, challenging the investigation already done and following them through payment and resolution
  • Monitor and follow up the production of reporting : regulatory (STFR) and client based
The OTC Trade Support activity is responsible for the following tasks:
  • Ensure all OTC trades are accurately captured, booked and transmitted to the outsourced service providers
  • OTC Paper Confirmation matching, oversight of OTC electronic confirmations and OTC lifecycle related tasks
  • EMIR regulations oversight and controls / reporting
  • Working closely with others departments / Clearing House and relationship managers for trade support services, ensuring the service received meets the required standards
  • Work with Dealing Services and Investments to ensure high quality service and to reduce risk and improve the quality of trade data received
  • Monitor and report on the quality of service received from service provid

Your profile

  • University degree in finance or economics or equivalent by experience.
  • Experience in an OPS departement withn an Asset Manager is clearly an added value.
Technical competences
  • Good knowledge of English and one or more other languages (ideally French; and the national language(s) of the country where the role is based).
  • Knowledge of financial products
  • Knowledge of internal procedures related to and governing the relevant scope of activities
  • Knowledge of basic IT tools (MS Office XL, MS Outlook). Knowledge of VBA, SQL…is an added value.
