The successful candidate will be part of the commercial teams, providing commercial and/or administrative support to one or more Client Advisors and Portfolio Managers in the planning and monitoring of client portfolios. The role will also be a key link in finding and retaining new, long term client relationships and will ensure that the Client Advisors and Portfolio Managers are able to perform their duties to the best of their ability and that an efficient and effective working method is achieved.
  • Welcoming clients to the office;
  • Ensuring good communication between client and Client Advisors / Por portfolio managers;
  • Preparing client visits for Client Advisors (e.g. preparation of portfolio statements, account documents, presentations);
  • Monitoring of management tools and suggesting corresponding adaptations;
  • Entering client data into the various systems;
  • Carrying out administrative banking tasks: opening and closing accounts, checking small non-discretionary accounts, checking debit accounts, calculating interest, collecting commission, following up and monitoring compliance topics such as MiFID risk profile, know your customer, etc;
  • Execution of stock exchange orders: transmission of stock exchange orders, control of securities transactions, control and execution of securities transfers, management of stock exchange orders;
  • From an administrative point of view, follow and respect internal and external rules and regulations, including compliance, risk, etc;
  • Participating in the organisation of client events and following up commercial actions;
  • Providing general administrative support as part of the Client Service team;
  • Proactively contacting clients to keep files administratively up to date;
  • Contact clients to schedule appointments with private banker/portfolio manager.

Your profile

  • Bachelor degree is required complemented by relevant work experience in the financial sector (experience in Private Banking is not required);
  • Possession of a PCP certificate (Wet Willems - service-lending in the banking sector) or recognized diploma for a PCP (Person in contact with the public) function or willingness to obtain one;
  • Interest in and knowledge of financial markets and instruments and the stock market;
  • Knowledge of software: Windows Office (Excel, Power Point, Word), Microsoft Outlook;
  • Very good knowledge of Dutch and French;
  • Good knowledge of English;
  • Analysing: critically assessing information in order to identify gaps and shortcomings. This involves gaining insight into cause and effect relationships and distinguishing the essential from the incidental;
  • Problem solving: addressing challenges by implementing beneficial solutions in a proactive manner. It involves managing time and cost in this process;
  • Structuring work: independently completing multiple tasks within a given time frame. It involves setting priorities and adapting them to changing circumstances;
  • Maximizing customer satisfaction: listening to and anticipating customer needs and providing favorable solutions and excellent customer service. Build long-term relationships based on loyalty and trust;
  • Collaborate: openly sharing information and successful solutions within the team / internal network. It is about identifying common goals and settling disputes with colleagues;
  • Communicating: correctly conveying information and opinions, in a structured way (both verbally and in writing) and in accordance with established rules and procedures. It involves correctly reporting facts, figures and incidents.
