Cyber attack with ransomware

On Friday 2 July, our ICT service provider was hit by a ransomware cyber attack.

Ransomware is a form of crime in which hackers penetrate the IT systems of companies and lock down data so that it is no longer accessible. The hackers then demand payment - often in crypto coins - to unlock this data again.

All data of our IT provider as well as of its customers including Axis Group were affected. It specifically concerns data related to performance, contracts and payroll processing: tracking and processing of performance, wages and invoices, social security declarations.

This means that the operation of our back office is currently seriously disrupted. However, the employment of our temps with Dimona declaration remains guaranteed and our Axis offices are operational.

Our provider is working closely with specialists from the Computer Crime Unit of the Federal Judicial Police and with ransomware specialists in order to stop the attack and to restart it safely. Only then will we be able to access our data and systems again.

We deeply regret any negative impact this may have on you as a client or temporary employee and we will do everything in our power to guarantee optimal service.
If you have any additional questions, you can contact our offices in Antwerp, Brussels or Luxembourg directly by telephone.
